How to Submit Papers to NAJP
The submission of good papers is very important to any psychology journal. The North American Journal of Psychology (ISSN 1527-7143) publishes peer-reviewed scientific papers that are of general interest to psychologists and other social scientists. Papers may encompass a wide variety of topics, methods, and strategies. Though the home office is located in North America, submissions are welcome from all parts of the globe. To date NAJP has published papers from about 42 countries outside the USA. Many of these have come from English-speaking countries like Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and England, but we have also published a few papers that originated from countries like Argentina, Belgium, Belize, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Malaysia, Nigeria, Northern Ireland, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
Manuscript Submission Guidelines – North American Journal of Psychology

Author Submission Steps
1. Initial Submission Requirements
- Manuscripts must follow APA 7th edition style guidelines.
- Remove all author names and institutional affiliations before submitting to comply with our double-blind peer review process.

2. Formatting and Revisions
- Accepted manuscripts must be revised to meet both APA style and NAJP formatting guidelines.
- Authors must use the NAJP Manuscript Template when preparing their final submission.
3. Peer Review and Editorial Process
- Each manuscript is reviewed by two independent peer reviewers under a double-blind process.
- An initial decision is typically provided within 5 weeks.
- Manuscripts are very rarely accepted without at least minor revisions, based on feedback from reviewers or editorial staff. Authors should plan to engage actively in the revision process.
4. Publication Fees and Payment Options
- The publication fee is $25 per page, invoiced upon acceptance.
- We accept payment via PayPal, Western Union, and check.
- Upon receipt of payment, authors will receive a galley proof for final approval, including volume, issue, and page numbers.
5. Publication Timeline
- Final papers are typically published within 5 months of acceptance and payment.
6. Exclusivity Policy
- Submission of a manuscript to NAJP constitutes a commitment to publish with us if accepted.
- Due to our expedited review process, simultaneous submission to other journals is not permitted.
